Job Summary
Licensed practical nurse or licensed vocational nurse provides nursing care under supervision across hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, health units, homes, and community health organizations. Responsibilities include taking patient histories and vital signs, administering injections and medications, collecting specimens, providing emergency health services, assisting with examinations, maintaining examination rooms and equipment, documenting care, and supporting physicians. Requires CPR certification and an active nursing license; experience in institutional or residential settings preferred; strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills; proficiency with computers and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a license to practice as a professional nurse
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current CPR certification required
