Job Summary
LPN/LVN I role performing nurse-assist duties under physician supervision in an institutional setting. Responsibilities include sick call screening and physical examinations, recording patient histories and vital signs, collecting lab samples, administering medications, injections, and oxygen, providing emergency health services in life-threatening situations, assisting in offender health management under physician protocols, maintaining examination rooms and health services equipment, participating in continuing education, maintaining health records, conducting medical examinations, and documenting assessment results. Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Licensure as a professional nurse is required, with LVN/LPN nursing education and practical nursing experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Must possess a license to practice as a professional nurse
- Must have two (1) years of Licensed Vocational Nursing experience
