Job Summary
LPN/LVN Corrections Nursing pool opening in Florence, AZ. Part-time pool with flexibility to pick up days or night shifts, minimum four shifts per month. Daily duties include intake screening to identify conditions requiring referral or treatment, administering medications via oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, topical, ophthalmic, and other routes, supporting other providers, and delivering a wide range of treatments (wound care, ECGs, ear lavage, phlebotomy, nebulizer therapy, TB skin tests). Responsibilities also cover direct patient care, prescreening and data gathering, vital signs, lab specimen collection, point-of-care testing, responding to emergencies, and assisting other health care professionals. May participate in involuntary, court-ordered care. Requires current LPN/LVN license in AZ or a compact state, minimum one year of relevant experience, BLS certification, and graduate from an approved practical nurse program. Required Qualifications
- Current, full and unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in Arizona or licensed in a compact state that allows practice in Arizona
- Minimum one year of experience in a hospital, medical office or residential setting
- Experience in a detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting is preferred
- Graduate from a Vocational/Practical Nurse program approved by a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory
- Must maintain the Basic Life Support for Providers (BLS) from the American Heart Association
