Job Summary
Administer medications and treatments to assigned residents as ordered by physicians, utilizing the five rights. Direct and monitor personal care duties and nursing procedures for Nursing Assistants on your team, while assisting with direct resident care as necessary. Report unusual symptoms, condition changes, and daily needs to the Unit Manager, Assistant Unit Manager, or Charge Nurse Supervisor. Follow each resident's Plan of Care and monitor Nursing Assistants' implementation of care plans. Manage controlled substances by receiving them from the Shift Supervisory Nurse and ensuring safe storage, distribution, and placement in medication carts, cupboards, refrigerators, and narcotic cabinets. Document all applicable activities in care plans, Nursing Notes, Medical Administration Records, and Treatment Records. Full-time and part-time shifts available with up to $35.54/hour plus shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a current state license
- Ability to supervise and work well with other personnel
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
- Caring, respectful attitude towards residents
- Physical stamina for constant activity
- Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
Desired Qualifications
- LPN Training and work experience in a geriatric setting
