LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse Surgical Technologist Per Diem - Childbirth Unit

Coordinate with the Obstetrical Surgery Team to provide surgical assistance during obstetrical cases, including retracting, cutting sutures, and identifying surgical sites before incision. Deliver direct patient care under RN direction by measuring vitals, documenting mother and infant data, bathing, feeding, and assisting with activities of daily living. Manage surgical procedures by setting up equipment, verifying instrument and supply counts, preparing specimens, and applying sterile dressings while maintaining universal precautions. Participate in admission and discharge processes, initiate emergency procedures, and perform billing for services rendered. Operate in a rotation schedule covering the OR, Nursery, and Postpartum units, with cross-training provided to Women's and Children's departments.
