Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Part-Time Nights at Good Samaritan's Desmet Center in De Smet, SD area. Responsible for providing professional nursing care to residents in long-term care under supervision, administering medications and treatments as ordered, contributing to assessments, maintaining documentation, and collaborating within an interdisciplinary care team. Must demonstrate nursing principles, be able to recognize problems and respond to emergent situations, and maintain confidentiality. Requires completion of an accredited practical nursing program and an active LPN license; associates degree preferred; occasional IV therapy competencies per state requirements may apply. Sign-on bonus available; benefits package for eligible staff. Responsibilities include resident care planning, education and support for residents and families, and adherence to care plans and standards of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current LPN license with State Nursing board or multi-state licensure privileges
- Associate degree in practical nursing preferred
- Experience or education requirements including supervised clinical experience and, if applicable, IV therapy competency per local board requirements
