Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in a long-term care facility under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Administer medications and treatments as ordered while ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of residents. Perform testing to evaluate resident status, recognize problems, and respond effectively to emergent situations. Document resident interactions, outcomes, and care plans, and counsel families on prevention and treatment strategies. Work rotating evening shifts from 2:00pm to 10:30pm with weekend incentives, earning $29.00–$36.00 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed LPN in Minnesota
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility
- If position requires IV therapy/management skills, graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing
- Must be available for Rotating Weekends and Holidays
- Must be available for Evening Shifts (2:00pm to 10:30pm)
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
