Job Summary
LPN - PRN (evenings) in Long Term Care: provide professional nursing care to residents under supervision, including administering medications, conducting assessments, and participating in care planning. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to meet residents' physical and psychosocial needs, maintains confidentiality, documents outcomes, and supports resident education and self-care. Requires an active LPN license, graduation from an accredited practical nursing program (associate degree preferred), and eligibility for required competencies; evening shift scheduled 2:15pm–10:45pm; PRN hours with varied weekly hours. Not-for-profit facility in Battle Lake, MN, offering a comprehensive benefits package for eligible staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span or 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- Obtains and maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility
- IV therapy/management skills (ND requirement) if applicable
- Possession of IV therapy course approved by ND Board of Nursing
