Job Summary
PRN LPN role in Long Term Care focused on providing professional nursing care to residents under supervision. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments as ordered, participating in assessments, documenting resident interactions and outcomes, contributing to the care plan, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team to ensure resident safety and quality care. Evening shifts (2:15pm–10:45pm) with variable weekly hours; compensation ranges from $27 to $36 per hour plus experience-based adjustments. Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, active LPN license, and ability to work within care standards and regulatory requirements. Emphasizes compassionate, confidential care, resident education, and teamwork within a not-for-profit senior services setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Active LPN license
- Association degree in practical nursing preferred
- IV therapy/management skills as applicable (North Dakota requirement) or IV Therapy course approved by North Dakota Board of Nursing
- Minimum of clinical experience across lifespan or 400 hours as LPN at another facility
- Completion of required continuing education units (CEU) and competency training
- Possesses or obtains unencumbered licensure with state nursing board
- Maintains department-specific competencies and certifications
- Ability to perform testing to evaluate resident status, document observations, and provide care as per care plan
