Job Summary
PRN - LPN provides professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision. Responsibilities include administering medications or treatments as ordered, contributing to resident assessments, documenting outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary needs, and maintaining effective relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the public. The role requires a licensed Practical Nurse with an accredited program background, and may involve IV therapy/management as required by North Dakota regulations. Shift: 2:15pm to 10:45pm; Location: Battle Lake, MN.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- IV therapy/management skills (North Dakota): graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing
- Attends a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span or has had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility
