Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) needed for PRN evenings in Long Term Care. Provides professional nursing care under supervision to residents, administers medications/treatments as ordered, documents care interactions, and supports an interdisciplinary care team. Responsibilities include assessing residents, recognizing problems, recommending solutions, and maintaining confidentiality. Requires licensure (LPN) with a current state board, and an accredited practical nursing education (associate degree preferred); IV therapy skills may be required per ND requirements. Strong communication with residents, families, and healthcare providers to support quality care and resident education; adherence to care plans and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
