Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting under supervision, including administering medications or treatments as ordered and performing data collection to evaluate residents’ status. Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medications, behaviors, activities, and diet; communicate clearly while maintaining confidentiality. Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary care team, support residents and families with prevention and treatment plans, and apply age- and population-specific standards. Ensure health, comfort, and safety of residents; demonstrate nursing knowledge within the full scope of practice and respond to emergent situations. Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and LPN licensure; evening PRN shift (2:15pm–10:45pm) with flexible weekly hours; benefits package available for qualifying staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
- If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
