Job Summary
LPN - PRN, Evening shifts in Long Term Care providing professional nursing care to residents under supervision. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, performing nursing assessments, contributing to resident care plans, documenting interactions and outcomes, and communicating with residents, families, and the care team. Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, current LPN license, and competency in long-term care nursing; IV therapy/ND requirements may apply. Strong emphasis on safety, confidentiality, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- State license to practice as LPN
- Possible IV therapy/management certification depending on location (ND)
- Experience and competency in long-term care settings
- Ability to administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Ability to document resident interactions and maintain confidentiality
- Good communication and teamwork within interdisciplinary care teams
- Quality care aligned with care plans and policies
- Continuing education requirements compliance
