Job Summary
PRN - LPN in Long Term Care providing professional nursing care under supervision in a not-for-profit senior housing/CARE environment. Responsibilities include applying nursing principles to residents across age groups, evaluating data, recognizing problems, recommending solutions, and responding to emergent situations. Administers medications/treatments as ordered, documents resident interactions and outcomes, collaborates with interdisciplinary team, educates residents and families on prevention and treatment plans, and maintains confidentiality. Requires full LPN licensure, graduation from an approved practical nursing program (associate degree preferred), and demonstrated clinical experience; IV therapy knowledge per ND requirements may apply in some cases. Evening PRN shift 2:15pm–10:45pm with 8-hour evenings and variable weekly hours; benefits package for eligible employees; drug screen and background check required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- If position requires IV therapy/management skills, ND-specific requirements
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience or 400 hours of experience as LPN
- Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license with state board and/or multistate licensure
- Maintains required competencies and certifications; completes continuing education units
- Drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
