Job Summary
Respond to all emergency situations and conduct patient intake paperwork within a correctional environment. Verify and obtain medication orders, administer treatments following nursing standards, and maintain supply levels from the pharmacy. Conduct sick call clinics, assist providers with chronic care visits, and monitor for changes in patient conditions. Complete and document all ordered treatments, patient care, and collection labs while ensuring daily nursing tasks are finished within prescribed timeframes. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow QCHC policies and guidelines. Assist with training and orientation of new personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School
- Current and valid LPN or LVN license
- Current CPR
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a health care setting as an LPN
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience in a correctional health care setting
