Job Summary
LPN in a correctional health care environment provides nursing services under physician direction. Responsibilities include intake paperwork, verifying orders and administering medications, conducting sick calls, maintaining medication supply, documenting patient care and treatments, assisting with Chronic Care Clinic and provider sick calls, monitoring patient status, maintaining confidentiality, and assisting with training new personnel. Ability to follow nursing standards and correctional regulations, with benefits including malpractice insurance, 401K, and wellness programs.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School
- Current and valid LPN or LVN license
- Current CPR
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a health care setting as an LPN.
- One year of experience in a correctional health care setting is preferred.
