Job Summary
Respond and intervene to all emergency situations in a correctional environment. Conduct patient intake paperwork, verify medication orders, and administer treatments following nursing standards and correctional regulations. Complete and document ordered treatments, patient care, and collection ordered labs while monitoring for and reporting changes in patient conditions. Assist providers with chronic care clinics and sick call visits, ensuring daily nursing tasks are completed within prescribed timeframes. Maintain patient confidentiality and accurately document all patient information and interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School
- Current and valid LPN or LVN license
- Current CPR
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a health care setting as an LPN
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience in a correctional health care setting
