Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrate competency in administering medications or treatments as ordered, performing testing to evaluate resident status, and recognizing problems to respond effectively to emergent situations. Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents while documenting interactions, outcomes, and dietary activities. Counsel residents, family members, and advocates on prevention and treatment plans, and contribute to interdisciplinary care team efforts. Work in a not-for-profit Christian environment serving seniors with a commitment to quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
