Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) needed for PRN shifts at a long-term care facility in De Smet, SD. Provides professional nursing care under supervision, administers medications and treatments, documents resident care outcomes, communicates with residents, families, and healthcare team, and supports adherence to care plans. Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, an active LPN license, and ongoing competency/CEU requirements. Additional ND-specific IV therapy training may be required. Experience across the lifespan or a minimum of 400 hours as an LPN is preferred. Strong communication, confidentiality, and teamwork skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Possesses CEU/compliance requirements and department competencies
- Experience/clinical hours across life span or 400 hours as LPN at another facility
- Preferred Associate degree in practical nursing
- IV therapy/management training if required by ND
- Ability to work under supervision and in an interdisciplinary care team
