Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision, administers medications or treatments as ordered, conducts resident assessments, documents care outcomes, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team. Must maintain confidentiality, support resident education and self-care, respond to emergent situations, and contribute to care plans and resident advocacy. Requires current LPN licensure and completion of required CEUs; IV therapy/advanced skills as applicable; associates degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- IV therapy/management skills required in North Dakota if applicable (per ND Board of Nursing)
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility
- Minimum of supervised clinical experience across the lifespan or 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
