Job Summary
LPN provides professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision of a RN/physician, conducting nursing assessments, administering medications, documenting care outcomes, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure resident health, safety, and well-being. Requires effective communication, confidentiality, and ability to respond to emergent situations; candidates should have completed an accredited practical nursing program and hold an active LPN license (state or multi-state), with preferred additional IV therapy training; on-site role at Good Samaritan facility in De Smet, SD, with PRN scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Current unencumbered LPN license with State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges.
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
- If position requires IV therapy/management, completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing or graduation from a Board approved AASPN program including IV therapy.
- Minimum of supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or 400 hours of LPN experience at another facility.
