Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) per diem sought to deliver nursing care to residents in a warm, home-like environment. Responsibilities include accurately assessing, communicating, and documenting residents’ status; observing and reporting changes to the care team; directing and supervising daily tasks of Resident Care Assistants; mentoring Lead Resident Care Assistants; coordinating care needs with community providers; balancing service demands with resident independence; preventing elder abuse and reporting per state regulations; responding to emergencies and utilizing the personal emergency response system.
Required Qualifications
- Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification
- Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements)
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred
- Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable
