Job Summary
Provide nursing services within a correctional environment under supervision, including administering medications, performing patient intake, conducting Sick Call clinics, coordinating with physicians, and documenting care. Responsibilities include verifying orders, maintaining medication supply, monitoring patient conditions, assisting with Chronic Care and provider sick calls, ensuring confidentiality, completing and documenting treatments and labs, training new personnel, and adhering to nursing standards and correctional regulations. Required qualifications include a current LPN/LVN license, CPR certification, and accreditation from a vocational/technical program, with at least one year of clinical experience (preferably in correctional health care).
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School
- Current and valid LPN or LVN license
- Current CPR
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a health care setting as an LPN
- One year of experience in a correctional health care setting is preferred.
