Job Summary
Provide nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Coordinator. Apply clinical knowledge to ensure patient safety and comfort, identifying priorities to organize care for multiple patients. Utilize equipment and supplies for the assigned population with computer experience. Roles include LVN I, II, or III, with increasing responsibilities at higher levels. Requires a valid Texas LVN license, graduation from an approved program, and 6+ months of clinical experience (or residency). LVN II requires 4+ years and LVN III requires 9+ years. Hourly pay ranges from $24 to $43.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved vocational nursing program
- Current and valid Texas LVN license
- Ability to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population for the assigned clinical area
- Computer experience
- 4+ years in a clinical area (Licensed Vocational Nurse II)
- 9+ years in a clinical area (Licensed Vocational Nurse III)
