Job Summary
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Octapharma Plasma, ensure donor eligibility for plasmapheresis procedures and immunizations through evaluations in compliance with regulations. Responsibilities include performing medical history reviews, maintaining necessary documentation, monitoring donor reactions, and providing medical care as needed. A current license, as well as CPR certification, is mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate strong patient assessment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work shifts including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program
- Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (or equivalent)
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Ability to manage emergency situations
- Excellent patient/donor assessment skills
- Ability to follow SOPs and protocols
Desired Qualifications
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in a hospital or plasma center (preferred)
- Effective customer service and people management skills
