Job Summary
Administer medication, manage storage carts, and ensure accurate counts for residents while complying with state regulations and company policies. Monitor vital signs and weight, assist with move-ins, move-outs, and discharge planning, and provide emotional and physical support to maintain resident wellness. Report changes in resident status, needs, or preferences to the Wellness Director or physician using sound nursing judgment. Ensure compliance with American House philosophy and all written policies governing the Resident Services Department. Requires 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or geriatrics, with current unencumbered LPN license and willingness to work evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of nursing experience
- Experience with dementia residents
- Up to date first aid and CPR certification
- Current Unencumbered LPN license in the state
- Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adults
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends
- Exceptional staff training and customer service skills
- Compassionate and friendly demeanor
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, TB test and physical
