Job Summary
Provide care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license. Contribute to patient assessment and assure well-being by administering medications while observing for adverse reactions. Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services, and educate patients and families on disease treatment plans, self-care post-discharge, and available resources. Full-time night shifts (7pm-7am) with 3-12 hour shifts per week. Requires current Alabama LPN licensure, BLS certification within 30 days, and graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent
