Job Summary
Provide care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license. Contribute to patient assessments, administer medications while observing for adverse reactions, and perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services. Educate patients and families on disease treatment plans, self-care post-discharge, holistic health needs, available resources, and follow-up care. This full-time night shift role at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham includes 3-12 hour shifts from 7pm to 7am.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent
