Job Summary
Provide nursing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Responsibilities include documenting patient histories, contributing to patient assessments, administering medications or treatments as ordered, offering technical support to healthcare professionals, counseling patients and families on prevention and treatment plans, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing knowledge and adheres to population-specific standards in the assigned clinical setting. This is a primary nurse role.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current LPN license in good standing and/or multi-state licensure privileges
- IV therapy/management skills as required by North Dakota requirements (if applicable)
- Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications
- Strong patient care and documentation skills
- Ability to work under supervision of RN/physician
- Ability to counsel patients and families on prevention and treatment plans
