Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care settings under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Perform testing to evaluate resident status, administer medications or treatments as ordered, and ensure the health, comfort, and safety of the population. Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively to assist in emergent situations while documenting interactions and care outcomes. Counsel residents, family members, and advocates on prevention and treatment plans, and establish effective working relationships within the interdisciplinary care team. Work 12-hour night shifts with a weekly schedule of 36 hours at a salary range of $24.00 to $36.00 plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
- If position requires IV therapy/management skills, graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
