Job Summary
Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department under the direction of a Registered Nurse, ensuring patient safety and promoting evidence-based practice. Administer medications and perform treatments according to approved standards, while directing unlicensed staff in work-related activities. Communicate clinical information to the patient care team and keep patients and families updated on their status. Document pertinent information accurately and manage patient assignments effectively. Work two 12-hour shifts per week from 7am to 7:30pm, with every third weekend and rotating holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of School of Practical Nursing
- Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Ohio
- Successful completion of an approved Pharmacology Course with NAPNES Certification, OOPNES Certification or Ohio Board of Nursing Card
- Successful completion of an LPN IV therapy course with proof of certification
- Working in the Emergency Department
- Two 12-hour shifts per week from 7am - 7:30pm
- Every third weekend
- Rotating holidays
