LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Dermatology

Conduct primary clinical support for provider, patient, and family to assist in diagnosis and treatment of conditions. Obtain and document patient medical history, vital signs, and basic medical data while preparing patients for examinations. Administer medications and vaccines including intradermal and skin testing under provider direction, and collect laboratory specimens to expedite studies. Assist with minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary examinations, ensuring accurate filing of diagnostic testing results in medical records. Maintain clean examination and treatment rooms between cases, adhering to asepsis standards and equipment availability protocols. Perform these duties in a clinical environment within a full-time, 40-hour weekly schedule at the Geisinger Healthplex Woodbine outpatient clinic.
