Job Summary
LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse for Day Shift at a Retirement Community in Williamsport, MD. Administers medications and treatments, writes detailed care records, delegates daily tasks to Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides, participates in resident care planning, and ensures confidentiality. Requires current MD LPN license, ability to stand and lift, and strong English communication. Provides leadership and support in delivering compassionate resident care and adhering to physician orders and corporate policies.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid LPN license in the state you will be providing care
- Judgment capabilities, initiative, and dependability
- Ability to read, write, and understand English well
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, and turn frequently throughout the course of an eight-hour shift
- Ability to lift 30 pounds in assisting co-workers with resident lifts, transfers, etc.
- Standing and walking distances constantly throughout the campus is required during the shift while evaluating residents and supporting line staff
- Ability to push a med cart in dispensing medications
- Ability to react quickly and decisively in emergencies and in unexpected behavior of residents
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate with residents at a level they can understand
