LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

Job Summary
Administer medication, manage storage, and document care for residents while maintaining the medication cart and storage room security. Monitor vital signs and weight, assist with move-ins, move-outs, and discharge planning, and provide emotional and physical support to maintain functional independence. Report changes in resident status to the Wellness Director or physician, ensure compliance with controlled substance policies, and uphold American House philosophy and all written procedures. Requires 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or geriatrics, with current unencumbered LPN license, first aid, and CPR certification. Full-time role from 7am to 7pm.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of nursing experience
- Experience with dementia residents
- Up to date first aid and CPR certification
- Current Unencumbered LPN license in the state
- Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adults
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends
- Exceptional staff training and customer service skills
- Compassionate and friendly demeanor
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, TB test and physical
