Job Summary
Administer medication, manage storage carts, and document counts in accordance with state regulations and company policy. Provide assistance to residents for maintaining functional independence, monitor vital signs and weights, and report status changes to the Wellness Director. Offer physical and emotional support while ensuring compliance with controlled substance protocols and American House policies. Assist with resident move-ins, move-outs, and discharge planning as needed. Shifts include Sunday evenings and Saturday nights. Requires a current unencumbered LPN license, 2+ years of nursing experience, and dementia care experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of nursing experience
- Experience with dementia residents preferred
- Up to date first aid and CPR certification
- Current Unencumbered LPN license in the state
- Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adults
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends
- Exceptional staff training and customer service skills
- Compassionate and friendly demeanor
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, TB test and physical
