Job Summary
LPN - Inpatient provides nursing care under the direction of the registered nurse in an inpatient setting, performing nursing interventions and procedures to support perianesthesia care and patient progression toward optimal outcomes; responsibilities include medication administration/recording, patient and family education, data collection for RN assessment, and ensuring accurate documentation, with emphasis on pediatric and geriatric care, safety, confidentiality, and effective handoff communication; requires current state licensure, BLS, and nursing proficiency in acute care, with a preference for graduates of accredited nursing programs and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred
- BLS certification
- Current State Licensure
- Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing
- Education, Licensure, Registration and Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred.
- Essential Functions include nursing interventions, patient assessment, administration and recording of medications, patient education, documentation, and collaboration with RN and health care team.
