Job Summary

LPN in-patient unit (FT, night shift) under RN supervision provides nursing interventions and teaching to maximize patient comfort and quality of life for patients and families. Responsibilities include medication administration, symptom management, IV and infusion-related tasks (CVL observation, IV therapy), venipuncture, dressing changes, and monitoring for changes in patient conditions. The role requires English communication, adherence to state regulations and company policies, documentation in the medical record, ability to manage emotional stress of caring for terminally ill patients, and participation in quality improvement and professional development activities. Licensure, BLS, and infusion-related coursework are emphasized, with potential cross-training and emergency-coverage duties as needed. Required Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of employment
  • IV certification required at time of hire beginning November 10, 2024
  • Active BLS for healthcare professionals from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Reliable transportation to meet visit schedule
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) in English
  • Ability to perform the essential functions and physical requirements (including lifting patients/equipment, bending, pushing/pulling, kneeling) with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work within their scope of practice per state regulations
  • Competencies: Satisfactorily complete competency requirements
