Job Summary
Plan and manage patient care by interviewing patients, recording medical histories, and obtaining vital signs. Provide routine care, administer medications, and perform diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, and venipuncture. Assist physicians and registered nurses while preparing specimens for lab courier and delivering wound care. Accompany patients to rooms and monitor catheters to ensure patient comfort and safety. Requires LPN license, BLS certification, and 1-2 years of recent nursing experience. This 9-week contract offers day, evening, or night shifts in Pittsburgh, PA, with a pay rate of $40 for local staff and $44 for travelers.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of state approved training program (generally in the form of a diploma, certificate, or associate degree)
- LPN license (pass NCLEX-PN exam)
- BLS certification
- 1-2 years recent nursing experience
