Job Summary
Provide patient care under the direction of a licensed medical practitioner or registered nurse, coordinating and managing care for assigned patients of all ages based on the unit care delivery model. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care, adhere to Centra's best practices for quality and service, and create a safe patient environment. Manage various care processes necessary to achieve desired outcomes while reflecting the American Nurse Association's Code of Ethics and Virginia's Nurse Practice Act. This full-time role includes a 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. schedule and is located in the LGH B41 Oncology unit.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Professional knowledge of specific patient conditions and treatment
- Adherence to a culture reflective of Centra's best practices for quality and service
- Ability to create and maintain a safe patient environment
- Coordination of various care processes
- Adherence to the American Nurse Association's Code of Ethics for Nurse
- Adherence to the Nurse Practice Act of Virginia
- Adherence to the ANA Principles of Nurse Staffing
