Job Summary
Deliver one-on-one patient care for stable residents of all ages in the home care setting, ensuring their health, comfort, and safety. Administer treatments and medications as directed, perform assessments to interpret data reflective of patient status, and counsel patients and family members on prevention and treatment plans. Document and maintain records while establishing effective relationships with healthcare providers. Recognize problems and recommend solutions by interpreting and following guidelines specific to the home environment. Work an M-F schedule with call rotation every third weekend, earning $24–$36 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Valid drivers license (depending on location)
- IV therapy/management skills (if position requires)
- Graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing (if position requires)
