Job Summary
Provide general nursing care to CHESCO Services individuals, including routine procedures, vital signs, and medication administration under supervision. Coordinate services with outside health agencies and serve as the primary liaison for community health professionals. Schedule medical appointments, manage drug reviews, and maintain current medical charts while documenting care plans and progress notes. Monitor medication administration records, follow up on physician recommendations, and provide health counseling on diet, exercise, and hygiene. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and prepare required nursing reports. Maintain 24/5 coverage with shared weekend and holiday on-call duties, ensuring a 45-minute response range. Requires state nursing certification, CPR/First Aid, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Completion of approved school of nursing
- State certification by S.C. Board of Nursing
- Certification in First Aid
- Certification in CPR
- Certification in CPI (non-crisis intervention)
- Subject to annual TB screening
- Valid driver's license from state of residence
- Ability to operate motor vehicle for 15 passengers or less
- Furnish proof of liability insurance
