Job Summary
Assess patients through physical examinations and diagnostic testing, administer medications and treatments, and participate in care planning. Supervise LPNs and certified nursing assistants while providing direct nursing care to residents in compliance with federal, state, and local standards. Communicate with physicians regarding resident condition changes and document all assessments and care activities according to company policy and regulations. Educate patients and families on health-related issues and complete required forms in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of computer systems including Point Click Care
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures and standards of care
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Valid State licensure as an LPN
- Current CPR certification
- Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN in Colorado
- CPR Certification
Desired Qualifications
- One-year experience in a long-term care environment (preferred)
