Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under RN supervision while maintaining professional accountability and patient confidentiality. Coordinate care across Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Medical-Surgical departments at Mercy St. Louis, Jefferson, South, Washington, Lincoln, Perry, Southeast, and Stoddard facilities. Float between designated locations as needed, adhering to a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days and maximum of 30 hours weekly. Maintain current LPN licensure and required certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and IV therapy. Participate in the Gig Nursing Program by scheduling hours and remaining available on short notice, subject to last-minute shift cancellations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for ED, ICU, and other specialties
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Availability on short notice
- Flexibility

- Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift
- No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement
