Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision across Behavioral Health, Emergency, ICU, and Medical-Surgical units at Mercy St. Louis and surrounding facilities. Utilize the nursing process to maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and care coordination while managing a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days. Float between designated locations including Festus, South St. Louis County, Washington, Troy, Perryville, Cape Girardeau, and Dexter. Maintain current LPN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and IV skills; lift 50 pounds and perform prolonged standing/walking. Schedule shifts flexibly between day and night with variable incentives, subject to last-minute cancellations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for ED, ICU, and other specialties
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Availability on short notice
- Flexibility
- Subject to last minute shift cancellation
- Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift
- No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement
