Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision using the nursing process in Medical-Surgical and Behavioral Health departments. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care across departments and protecting patient confidentiality. Obtain and maintain a current compact LPN license, ensuring BLS and IV certifications are current for assigned shifts. This flexible, incentivized role offers 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts with no weekend or holiday requirements. Applicants must have one year of recent bedside LPN experience and a high school diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current compact LPN license
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience
- BLS certification
- IV certification
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Availability for day shift OR night shift
- Responsibility for scheduling a minimum number of hours
- Availability on short notice
- Flexibility
- Subject to last minute shift cancellation
- No weekend requirement
- No holiday requirement
