Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under RN supervision while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care across departments including Behavioral Health, Emergency, ICU, and Medical-Surgical units while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality. Float between designated Mercy Hospital facilities as a PRN/Per Diem LPN, scheduling a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days with flexibility to work day or night shifts. Maintain current licensure and required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, or PALS depending on specialty, and be prepared for last-minute cancellations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for ED, ICU, and other specialties
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS certification for Critical Care
- BLS certification for Emergency Department
- PALS certification for Emergency Department
- IV certification
