Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision using the nursing process, maintaining professional accountability and patient confidentiality across Behavioral Health, Emergency, ICU, and Medical-Surgical units. Float between designated Mercy Hospital facilities including Cape Girardeau, St. Louis, Festus, and surrounding communities. Participate in the Gig Nursing Program by scheduling a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days while remaining available on short notice for flexible, incentivized shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours. Maintain current LPN licensure, BLS certification, and IV skills, with ACLS and PALS required for critical care and emergency roles. Push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly while enduring prolonged standing and walking.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for ED, ICU, and other specialties
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Availability on short notice

- No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement
