Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability and patient confidentiality. Coordinate care across Behavioral Health, Emergency, ICU, and Medical-Surgical departments at multiple Mercy facilities. Float between locations as needed and participate in a flexible Gig program requiring short-notice availability and last-minute shift cancellation. Maintain a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days while working variable shifts up to 30 hours weekly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for ED, ICU, and other specialties
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS certification for Critical Care
- BLS and ACLS certification for Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Availability on short notice
- Flexibility
- Subject to last minute shift cancellation
- Ability to float between designated Mercy Hospital facilities of their choice
- Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift
