Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to float between Mercy Hospital facilities in Missouri on a PRN/Per Diem/Flex/Float basis. Flexible scheduling with day or night shifts; no weekend/holiday or shift requirement; W-2 employment; variable shift incentives; minimum hours guaranteed every 90 days with up to 30 hours per week. The LPN will provide patient care using the nursing process under supervision, coordinate with other departments, and maintain patient rights and confidentiality. Departments include Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, ICU, and Medical-Surgical, with placements at Mercy St. Louis, Mercy Jefferson, Mercy South, Mercy Washington, Mercy Lincoln, Mercy Perry, Mercy Southeast, and Mercy Stoddard. Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN licensure in the hiring state, plus BLS and specialty certifications as appropriate (IV, ACLS, PALS). Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in the hiring state
- BLS certification (required for Med Surg); ACLS for CC; PALS for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Epic experience (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year LPN bedside experience for Med Surg; 2 years for ED/ICU; ability to lift 50 pounds; strong physical requirements
