Job Summary
Flexible Licensed Practical Nurse GIG role across Mercy Hospital facilities in Missouri. Float between designated Mercy campuses with no guaranteed hours, choosing day or night shifts and varying shift lengths (4, 8, or 12 hours) under a PRN/Flex engagement. Requires LPN licensure, a high school diploma/GED, and recent bedside nursing experience; BLS is required for most units with additional ACLS/PALS as applicable. W-2 employment with hourly pay ($30/hour) plus variable shift incentives; minimum monthly hours target and max weekly hours are specified. Prioritize patient care coordination, adherence to nursing process, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, with responsibilities spanning Behavioral Health, ED, ICU, and Medical-Surgical units across Mercy facilities. Demonstrates ability to work without guaranteed hours, maintain licensure, and navigate diverse shifts while prioritizing patient rights and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in the hiring state
- Minimum one year of recent bedside LPN experience (MS); two years for ED/ICU/other specialties
- BLS certification for Med Surg; BLS/ACLS for CC; BLS/ACLS/PALS for ED
- IV certification
- Epic experience preferred
